Seems it's recently been won @ $5700 NZD.

From their website I found this amusing:
One cause of helicopter accidents is their main rotors coming into contact with objects like a wire. The Jetpack ducts protect the rotors. Additionally, when on the ground, the ducts provide enhanced safety for other people.
Personally I wouldn't like a wire strike while flying the jetpack either, considering you would be dangling out the front.

Or perhaps the dreaded running takeoff with a Vr of 45 kts.
