Bell 412EP Crashes into Mountain

Bell 412EP rescue helicopter crashed into a mountain in Gifu Prefecture in Japan Friday afternoon during an operation to rescue a climber.



The crash occurred at around 3:30 p.m., when the chopper smashed into a rocky stretch 3,163 meters above sea level on a mountain in Takayama, Gifu Prefecture.



Three crewmembers -- a pilot, a mechanic and a rescue worker -- were died in the accident and







two of them are friends of mine... RIP

i m so sorry to hear the loss. any report on wat might have caused the tradegy?

FYI, it's the second Bell 412 in less than a month that has crashed into a mountain . . . . (two fatal) The first one was an HC/Airlog machine in Mexico.
