Amazing!!

I was sitting outside the hangar the last day as a skycrane came whizzing by. To my disbelief, it broke its water about 50 AGL and gave birth there and then to two magnificent twins. We're currently looking after them in our hangar and I'm glad to say that they are doing well!!

Awwwww,

I wonder what they'll be when they grow up?

What colour skid-booties should we send?

maybe the male names are an alias. anyway talk about giving birth to a couple of dogs, and weren't those big mothers back in OZ about two months ago? 'bout time they whelped.

sorry guys but i'm a mere fixed wing pilot...

but how the hell does that work then!?

do they autorotate to the ground or are their rotors turning inside the hold of the skycrane??

or am i loosing the plot altogether in thinking they came out of the skycrane?

Soooo - just out of curiosity. Is the Skycrane a hermaphrodite with that long thingy dangling under its belly. Or how did it get knocked up in the first place ??

Has the skycrane mating ritual ever been recorded ?
David Attenborough is always looking for new material........
would the male of the species have to be REALLY careful not to get that dangly thing caught in the tail rotor.......its definately a good reason for NOTAR, Or would an MD900 enquire "does my bum look big in this..."

I don't believe for one minute it gave birth, I think those rascals hitched a ride to experience flight at more than 70kts !.Then jumped out with fright.
