Exclamation FAA ATPL-H check ride

Hello,

I am looking for a reputable flight school in or outside the USA with whom I can get my FAA ATP check ride done on a R22, R44, or a Jet Ranger.

Any recommendations?

Thanks

Have been told that Palm Beach Helicopters are a good outfit. Have been corresponding with them myself with a view to doing an FAA ATPL conversion and IR.

I did mine at Bell Helicopter while down for Long Ranger recurrent several years ago, as an additional ATP rating. The key is to have the written done as well as the required helicopter simulated instrument time. If you hold a fixed wing ATP rating, I incorrectly thought the written was only a rotorcraft written test. Wrong -- it covers the full range of ATP questions for fixed wing and rotorcraft aircraft!

There is one in Tutusville, FL. I'm not sure of the name, but I know they do ATP courses and checkrides in the 206.

I did mine on an R44 with Mauna Loa Helicopters in Hawaii. Very straightforward. Ben the owner was very knowledgeable about the requirements and very helpful, unlike some of the other companies I emailed.

I received all of my helo training at Helicopter academy in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Very good instructors and very well maintained equipment.

Helicopter training. Commercial Pilot Certificate.

Also Los Angeles Helicopters is a very good training facility.

Commercial Helicopter Pilot License Training - Los Angeles Helicopters

I have used them in the past as well.

Would recommend both places.

Thumbs up Titusville!

Gomer - that will be Bristow Academy at Titusville (Space Coast Regional Airport) in Central Florida - see Bristow Academy formerly Helicopter Adventures Inc - Helicopter Flight Training for more!

We do 5 or 6 a month, mainly for one contract, drop me a PM.
Very simple indeed.
