Cool Rotorheads calendar March 2009

March 2009 calendar is a photo of the precision flying event at the World Helicopter Championship in Eisenach, Germany, 14th August 2008. The Russian crew of the Mil Mi 2 were Viktor Korotaev (Pilot) and Nikolai Burov (Copilot), who were the overall winners. The picture was taken by nrh

What's the idea behind the event pistured? Does one string have to run between the white lines without the other touching the ground? Looks like there's another 'tramline' running off to the right, presumably they'll have to go off sideways along that? And backwards along another? Or am I completely wrong?
