206B3 to EC120 Price Comparison

It seems that the sale prices are similar for ships in the 2000-2008 age. This is comparing a 40 year old design to a 10 year old design. A ship with average passenger comfort and visibility to a ship with great passenger comfort and visiblity.

Does this say volumes about the 206's reliablilty, safety and operating cost? Or is there a problem with EC120 that makes them less attractive to own?

Looking at the Controller website, EC120s appear to command $200-250K (US dollars, not Kiwi dollars) over same-year 206B3s, which is in line with the difference in selling price between the two types (~$200K).

Be interesting to see what happens to 206B3 resale values as production finally ends in a couple of years' time.
