Who in the UK uses 500's?
Hi chaps,
Just wondered who operates the 500 in the UK?
They seem to be all over everywhere else but a bit few and far between here.
How many of you guys have a rating for one? Who uses them here in the UK and what sort of op's are they being used here for?
Always been my favourite looking helicopter after the film "Deadly Encounter" but always figured I would never get the chance to go in one in England.
Just curious.
Thanks

AH Heliocpters at Dunkeswell in Devon operate 500s, training and fire fighting I believe, they have a good reputation.
The owner posts on here I am sure he will add on what else they do shortly.
I think Heli-Flight Gloucester have it on their training approval, don't know if they've got one.
Eastern Atlantic at Shoreham are the import agents for MD and always have a couple up for sale.
Training wise Dennis Kenyon , Andrew from AH, or Ray Jones (might be bob cant' remember) are the guys to go to if I recall correctly, I have no doubt missed someone out sorry.
Several in private hands, don't know a lot about them.

R44 just sent you a pm
Veeany Just about covered what we do, but quite a bit of self fly hire, aerial photography ( very smooth heli), loadlifting for National parks and looking at live line work at the moment.

I think I saw that in a bit of a state a few months ago at Heli Air in Wellsbourne.
Think lasttime I saw it, it didnt have an interior, no seats etc...
Thought a Japenese guy owned it.
Looks nice in the pics now though
