Helmets & General Safety Equipment

Unlike most of our fixed wing brethren flying helos often involves putting ones self in harms way (if things go wrong - long lining, power pole work etc etc) and some emergencies will concentrate the mind wonderfully (loss of tail rotor). Going home to mum and the kids may very well depend on attention paid to the safety gear you do or don't wear. Should I wear a helmet is a question often raised in this forum. Flip through the following and ask yourself if your personal risk assessment might need a review.
