How about pay?

Anyone know what the pay is. Also do people commute or live locally?

Some pilots stay locally, mainly those on 5-2-5-9, 14-14 pilots tend to commute to other parts of Norway or Europe if not from the Stavanger area.

Flighthours at Sola somewhere between 600-800 pr. year.
Captain upgrades is based on senority, no direct entries.

Anyone heard something from Norsk?

Story says that a few were called for an interview but none got hired. Is that true?

What I heard was that...

...with the recent 100% acusition of Norsk by Bristow, I believe pilots with Bristow in the UK are getting the opportunity to take the positions first because of loss of contracts in Aberdeen. New recruits will be taken on if the positions are not all filled.

Norsk and CHC

Hello

Take a look at the CHC career webpage.
The minimums are now 200hrs!!!
And i think they will hire 30 new pilots until 2010.
Closing date April2009.

The selection tests will be on week 13 and 20 thats what i have received on a email from CHC.
I'm also waiting for more information.

I've been to the interview....

and i'm happy to report a positive response....
They had 133 applicants, 12 on the interview, 3 positions.

ALTHOUGH when the letters were in the process of being sent out, news of another Bristow company, in the uk, having too many pilots, they are holding the hiring process until a decision of what to do with those has been made.

The 3 that were intended hired after this round will get the offer as soon as a decision has been made on what to do the pilot surplus in the uk.

So far then, no more interviews in the foreseeable future, unless those with a positive response from Norsk jumps ship and finds work somewhere else during the waiting time now.

Hope this helps.
