Jar-fcl 2.055 Training And Testing Helicopter

Each helicopter shall be fitted with duplicated primary flight controls for use by the instructor and the student. Swing-over flight controls shall not be acceptable

does this means that r22 and r44 are not acceptable for flight training, from what I saw most of schools have r22 or Sweizer300.

I am not falmiliar with small piston helicopters (benefits of military flight training: small fix wing, B203 and direct to big twin)

what is the best helicopter for FTO?

The Robbie cyclic bar teeters across the central stick, making control available to both pilots at all times, it doesn't swing over between the two.

This "Swing over" reference is a leftover from the airplane world i think! I believe the DHC Beaver had "Swing over" type steering column f. ex. Never seen a helicopter with this type of controls
