problems can affect any heli, regardless of operator, but I cannot recall Bristows not having spare crew prepared to help out..

Shot in foot Happy Dayz?
The MCA spokesman clearly knows what he is talking about - it's good to know that a tail chip is a chip in one of the tail rotor blades that can make it unstable -

At least the AW139s are doing fine. Apart from Portland being off state TFN with "technical issues" last time I looked...

And here I thought a 'tail chip' was something you ate with 'tail fish'.
Good to see they "(on land)" "landed safely on a suitable landing site" and that "any threat of life is not imminent" (I'd have thought it would be a threat 'to' life, not 'of' life, but what do I know? Oh wait, it is Scotland, after all.)
It's good to see that the Hebrides News has stopped with those ridiculous hiring guidelines and now are allowing the illiterate to have a go at journalism too.

Thanks for helping out 137
I would like to thank the Stornoway crew of CG100 for returning the favour this last Sunday, when SK137 had a primary hyd pipe burst in the Cuillins. CG100 went over to Lossiemouth and collected engineers and spares. It was most appreciated and we were able to bring the Seaking back on line much faster for SAR. I was the co-pilot on that day.

Co Pirate - thanks for your post. I was the Captain of CG100 for that shift and was happy to return the favour when requested by RCC. I believe there is a letter in the system to your CO regarding Lossies assistance to us.
I think your post on this thread was a very positive thing to do particularly when we are surrounded by constant bickering between certain members of this community. I am sure we will continue to work closely together like this and as we did some weeks ago on a mountain rescue tasking at Loch Maree.
Thanks again.

At Last......
Nice one gent's..... This is the SAR 'Community' I enjoy being a part of, in another region....
We all have a job to do, sometimes we have snags, sometimes others have snags, but if we can ever be of help, in order to get the service back on-line to serve those who need us, we will and do.
At last I have found a genuine reason to make my first post! Had to 'bite the tongue' on a few occassions but as a good friend 'Murphy' once said....'never argue with fools, people may not be able to tell the difference!'
Regards
SirSokky.
