Looking for an old Gazelle AD

I'm looking for a copy of an AD that came out on Gazelles in the very late 80s or early 90s limiting the calendar life of rubber hoses on the Gazelle (and possibly other Aerospatiale products) to 10 years.
Any chance someone has a copy?

You might find this may now be a "General" AD depending on which countries certification/airworthiness criteria you wish to use.

Probably not an AD anymore. The Eurocopter standard practices manual gives life limits for all rubber hoses. Remember that some hoses (usually metal braided teflon) are not effected.

I threw away a copy of this that I printed off about a week ago!!!!!

If it was classed as a CAA Foreign Airworthiness Directive it was probably canned when everything moved over to EASA.

When I get into work I will have a look to see if I can find a direct reference.

This has been a big issue for over 10 years especially when Tech records have failed to track the hoses. This had lead to unecessary maintenance of more than several occasions.
Nothing worse than pulling all the floors up after draining the tanks on a 365 to find all the hoses are within date!!!!!!

Sensible operators replace the hoses on C/G checks.

The info on hose lives is in the storage section of the MTC Chapter 5.

It deals with the storage lives of hoses and then goes on to how you calculate the in service life.

MTC is the Standard Practices Manual, although what MTC actually stands for I have no idea. Much like translating all the French manuals!!!

This is a generic document that covers all Eurocopter (Aerospatiale) types.
