Jet Ranger - Tips, Tricks and Gotchas???

I'm just about to do a Jet Ranger rating and start to fly one of these. Anyone got any tip, tricks or Gotchas that I should know about.

I've got Phil Croucher's "Bible" on the 206 and I've also got the book "Fatal Traps for Helicopter Pilots" so I've got some ideas but I'm looking for the stuff that isn't necessarily documented.

Any hints on anything will do.

Cheers in advance team

Joel

Depends what you've flown before really. There's a good thread that runs for many pages on the 206 that you might want to filter through.

Generally, it's an excellent machine to fly, handles predictably and cruises at a sensible (perhaps a bit pedestrian for some people) speed.

If you come from a piston, the instruments take some getting used to and the start is certainly 20 seconds of intense concentration, other than that, it's pretty straightforward.
