Free Trial Lessons

Guys and girls,

Remember seeing some helicopter schools in the UK offereing free trial lessons in the adverts in the back of Pilot magazine, but have gone and lost my copy. Does anyone know which schools offer these?

Would assume they're only 20mins long or therabouts, but still worth having a crack at.

Cheers

Free trial lesson... nothing in life is for free! You'll probably find it'll be free if you sign up for PPL(H) straight after and pay a lump sum.

Free Trial Lessons

Tiger Helicopters at Shobdon, used to do free trial lessons which were about 30 mins long. Not sure if they still do them though, their website has links to lessons for sale on ebay!

The link to their site is www.tigerhelicopters.co.uk I have no link to them other than that I did one with them and found it very useful!

Cheers

It was indeed Tiger Helicopters at Shobdon. I went there back in 1999 for a free trial lesson to have my first go in the R22. It was free, there was a proper 30min briefing followed by a proper 30min trial flight. Not sure how they run it now but I was mightily impressed at the time - unfortunately it was just too far for me to travel to do the PPL(H).
