USAF Pave Hawk - Third Stick

I've been curious for a while what the stick in the middle of the console is for - anyone know?

That whole mirror image thing sucks when switching from right to left seat. As to the FLIR control in the center, other than being bored I haven't touched that thing to actually control the FLIR very often.
