Getting Heli Rating in the USA ? Good idea ?

Hello,

I'm totally new to aviation and would like to get a Heli rating (PPL(H) FAA) to fly a R44 in Europe. Is it advisable to do this in the USA instead ? I heard one of the biggest Heli schools went bust a few weeks ago over there.. any advice for a school please ?

Thanks.
