Isle of Man register
Hi all
Has anyone got any operational experience with operating under the Isla of Man register?
Any operational limitations especially when operating in other countries?
I noticed a 109 Power (M-IDAS) on another thread.
Much appreciated.

Fantastic easy register, and ideal for your type of ops, we will be trying to get most people to put a/c on this register - only available for Private use not to be used for any AOC ops - Brian will happily put yours on it on it for you, the biggest problem is foreign ATC asking where it is - normal reply "Rock in the middle of Irish Sea" - no probs with mx if you are in EU - if you want a friendly trust company to look after the paperwork then pm me.

Don't forget it's above 5,700kgs only unless you're resident.......
If I'm not mistaken, M-ONTY and M-IDAS are both domicled locally while Irish-based M-ERIT is above the threshold at 6400kgs MTOW.
But you're right, until the register is better known, ATC exchanges can be entertaining........!
