I saw a big yellow canary parked outside the Helicopters Australia hangar at Perth airport recently that looked remarkably similar to an S61. It's been flying around having a big aquatic dump on various hot spots around town.

Before Landing Check List
I hear that there may be one on the way to Australia which is not related to fire fighting. Rumors suggest that the registration doesn't start with an "N" but could be from further north. Not sure when it will arrive there.

Hadn't heard about the Cougar S-61, but here's a link to an article from Flightglobal.com about the Carson Helicopters Sikorsky S-61N Shortsky / 'Fire King' which is already here in Perth for firefighting trials. It has already seen some action, including fighting a bushfire not far from where I live.
