careers in helo business

hey folks,
does anybody knows anything about careers in helo business in south US (PHI, ERA, Airmethods...). salaries, pilot escalation, chief pilot mins.....
Heard so much about airline pilots starvation so i looked up and found out a lot on several web sites (such as airlinepilotcentral.com)that give you a general idea on the subject.

Unfortunately its hard to figure out what the helo jobs pay on the avarage and what career prospectives you actually can get in helo busines.
