Vale the maestro

TV news said he was trying out a new way for cropdusters to scoop up lake water for fire fighting. That's a complicated enough business for a helo, let alone a plank moving at speed & low altitude. High price to pay for a new idea.

I saw Col in his spitfire at airshows years ago, elegant solo performances, like a maestro with a violin.

very sad. I really enjoyed watching Col's displays in his old warbirds.
