Barry Lloyd HAI Award

Folks,

All of you who were at HAI....ie Helicopter adventures in the 80's and 90's will be delighted to hear that Barry will be recognised with the Outstanding Flight Instructor award at Heli Expo in Houston in Feb. Considered launching a campaign for that years ago and am delighted to see it has now happened.

Barry is a fab instructor, examiner and a great human being. Really pleased to have worked with him and really grateful for all he taught me both as an applicant and instructor. Though the FAA system and the US sometimes comes in for criticism you could always reccomend HAI when you knew that Barry ( and Ken Suzuki too!) were examinig there.

Congrats to Barry and well deserved!!!

Thumbs up Congatulations

I am so pleased to hear that Barry has won this award.
He has had (and still has) a very positive imput into this industry and justly deserves this recognition.
Having known him for nearly 30 + years and having worked with him in our early days in Oakland (even later getting a check ride from him) this news brought a smile to my face.
Well Mate if you read this, congrats and enjoy the moment, you deserve it for all your hard work, effort and integrity that you have brought to our industry.
I'm still waiting for the Grumpy Old Man award I know I would win it hands down.

congrats

Yep - great bloke with a lot of knowledge and experience. Some great stories too. Somehow he found it in himself to do a couple of check rides for me in 88/89.

Well deserved.
