Doors off in a Long Ranger?
Hello everyone.
I know about the doors off limitations for a Bell 206 but I wondered if the same applies to the Long Ranger version? Also, does it only apply if you have both rear doors off? If you had the Port rear Door off only would the speed limitation apply?
I have looked through the threads and I have not been able to find anything so input would be lovely!!

Note also weight change with door off, to be computed to be within allowable limits (may affect loading calc on selective loading)

As stated, should read "rate of climb reduced by..." but in reality, with all doors off, I've found "rate of climb reduced by MORE THAN...." that number. So be aware of that.

What are you guys going on about. A LR will still do 115kts in the cruise with the front door off no worries at all. Done it plenty of times. Even with an empty bucket on a 100ft line going down hill towards the dam it gets along just fine.

I didn't know the LR went that fast with the doors off: I've never tried it, that would be exceeding a limitation in the RFM. In our jurisdiction (Australia), compliance with the RFM is a mandatory requirement, both of the Operator and the Authority.
