I'm sure your facts and figures are correct HC, my comments had nothing to do with the capability of one machine over the other (I have no real preference) just the visuals.....and I stand by what I said, an UGLY grey afterthought.

UGLY

They are not designed to be pretty just safe in the event of ditching. I could not give a monkeys how ugly there are as long as they keep me afloat.

Of course you are entitled to your opinion but if they are ugly (and you could be right!) I don't care because I can't see them when I am flying and its function over form for me - ie I don't care what they look like as long as they function well.

Brand x has nicely faired in floats so it looks smooth but in the functionality stakes, they are not as good

Unstable Load

Yes, S61, S76, S92 (just 1 flight), Bell 47, Bell 206. Not narrow minded, just retaliating against a certain former project manager of a shorts 330-lookalike's narrowmindedness (and commercial interest)

Too much white!

Actually just noticed one big problem with CHC's new scheme. The 225 is a great helicopter but boy does it have a dirty exhaust (and engine oil consumption to go with it). So I suspect its going to be really difficult to keep the white paint on the tail area white. Better get in stocks of detergent and issue pilots with scrubbing brushes...
