Anyone have any Info on that 109 which..

... is apparently planning on flying round the world soon. it's a black one with the reg of N1US I seem to remember.

I am only curious. I would have thought using the 109 would break any previous speed records providing it goes smooth.

We have the same aircraft - A109S, there are only 2 in the US ours N 613 CC and N 1 US. I was fortunate to be in Philly 2 weeks ago when both were in the same place.
They flew it to the US from Italy and then went to LA - not sure where from then. Good guys - spent a bit of time with them and actually flew the ship before we bought ours.

They have only recently completed the flight. theirs is 22040 and ours delivered 4 weeks ago was s/n 22042. Think the original date in the article was a typo - 2006/7

I see in the papers that N1US has broken the speed record between New York and Los Angeles .

Good to hear but not too surprised. The 109S is just about the fastest little helicopter available at the moment.

Any chance of a link to the report?
