gps

i need to buy a gps has anybody used the flyangel? how do you get on with it? is it too small?

Proper one is great, not tried the PDA version but looks good - FlyAngel (or somesuch name, the car GPS derived verision is dissapointing

Try looking/searching in the Private forum. There is quite an extensive review on the Flyangel there somewhere.

The thread includes feedback from the developer.

I use the FlyAngel and I think it is a superb piece of kit.

If you are after a dedicated GPS for flying, I think there are better units but if you want one unit to take from car to helicopter then the FlyAngel fits the bill nicely.

I find it very easy to use, good battery life and the customer service from the guys at flymap is first rate.

I'd be happy to recommend it
