Alouette III and EC135

Anyone see the formation of 5 Aer Corps Alouettes over south Dublin earlier (around 11:30) being trailed be one of the 135s?

Up Again

A formation of 6 Alouettes has just travelled east/west across the city. No EC135 this time. Aren't these machines being retired? Possibly some kind of retirement ceremony

I think they are being retired. They also performed their last air display out in Bray at the beginning of the month.

I heard a few days ago that the final display for the Allouettes was to be around 15.00 today at Casement Aerodrome

Was at the retirement ceremony for the Alouette III in Baldonnel. Six aircraft in formation landed in front on the assembled dignitaries, then turned and backed toward the crowd and ended up with their tail rotors quite close. Retired general and wife (in a wheelchair) were nearly blown over. Glad there was no kids present.

Three AB139s also flew in the same formation.
