FAA PPL(H) 1 year in Europe?

Hi all!

Recently a friend told me that it is possible to fly in a JAA country for 1 year with an FAA PPL(H). I have been searching in the regulations but couldn't find anything (maybe I just missed it), someone here that can help me with this? Thanks!!

As long as you fly privately, you can fly for as long as you like in JAAland with an ICAO PPL(H). An FAA PPL(H) is a recognised ICAO PPL(H).

If you want to fly commercially, the rules are very different and much more complicated.
