Helicopter Wire Strike Western Victoria?
Anyone out there with any info on a supposed helicopter wire strike sometime in the last week in Western Vic (maybe Ballarat area) and if so is the pilot OK

Yes, if you check out post #18 over about four pages on the subject of "whether powerline awareness should be part of the training sylabus", you will see it all.
Before you look, as far as I know the driver (a kiwi) is quite OK, with two ankles in plaster and some other superficial stuff.

Thanks for that info.Glad the driver is okay & on the mend.The very third hand info I received was that it was an AG incident.Was this one the case

Just rang a friend up in the area
i know the company he mentioned and the chief pilot.
great bloke ! top pilot!
one of his young blokes was flying at the time, unfortunate for everyone involved. happened at coleraine ,western vic..
pilot is fine. it was 44 that came unstuck doing AG
best wishes to the boys.
