Is it a world record ?
Being asked to turn your helicopter down (or something like that) in front of an audience of 100 million people (apparently) ?
As Ricky Gervais couldn't think of anything else to say at that point. Whilst on stage at Wembley. Sounded like he owes you a quid.
Perhaps one of the usual drivers for the BBC.
Made me chuckle anyway.

I'm with Shytorque too - and Clint Eastwood who when faced with Ricky Gervais at an awards ceremony said "who the hell is this guy?" Great one Clint!
Although there are millions out there who love his cringeworthy characters I would far rather listen to helicopter noise all day than (the almost completely unfunny) Mr Gervais.

I was rummaging around the attic today and found a circular piece of flat black vinyl. It had a hole in the middle and a spiral groove on both sides.

Watch the 'Concert for Diana' and look at the ricky gervais act (if you can call it that). He was trying to fill in for time, live on stage, and complained about the noise from the helicopter which was covering the event!!!
It wasnt funny!!!
