Helicopter down in Spain

This afternoon about 12:00 o'clock a Bell 212 crashed in País Vasco, Spain. The took off from Santander airport to ferry the helicopter back to his base in the south of Spain. The helicopter crashed in a rough mountain area. The two crew members did not survive the accident.
I spoke to them the night before to take over the shift on Santander base. Makes you realize how quick things can end. My condolences to the family.

Below a photo of the wreckage. They were flying VFR and possible cause was the fog in that area. The passage where they crashed is known as a difficult passage and fog/low clouds often close the passage. The pilots were not familier with the area.

Red face

They were two great guys...
In less than 2 years I've lost 3 close fellows...
I just can say R.I.P.
