The patent is US 7,182,295 ~ Personal flight vehicle and system.
The inventor is Scott D. Redmond.
It would appear that he has previously promoted and patented 'items' in other unrelated fields. Two of his previous companies are; Tranz-Send Broadcasting Network, Inc. ("the provider of the most advanced solutions for on-demand delivery of full-screen video and audio on the Web") and Redmond Productions, Inc. (biological sensing interface)
