Helidriver,

I think there will be more bits in the EC130, needing a bigger kitchen to build it in, a little like the Airfix kits , ie tea tray for the Spitfire, kitchen table for the Lancaster

I think the tail looks awesome!!!! but the plain black is just that...plain.

Are they doing anything else with the body or just leaving it black??

If it's possible, you just made me even more of a wannabe than I was before.

yours jealously

SL

PS.. Being a wannabe I can ask dumb questions and it won't be the last... Black cabin black trim... Does it come with aircon? or are you planning to boil alive?

This thread is fantastic. Really nice to see this coming along. Any chance of getting the first flight on tape?

Doin time - Trust me, it looks better in the flesh, there's actually a blue pearl in the black which shows up nicely in the sun. The idea that I sold to the boss is the ability to adapt the side of the aircraft to suit the occasion, as we own a V8 Supercar team here in Aus and also a Champ Car team in the US these we can apply some decals to suit the event.

As you can see in the previous photos we also had a lot of the screws polished which break the black up a bit.

Scrumpyluvver - I'm sure it will get a little warm but then a few minutes with the a/c on fixes that. Our last one had a lot of black on it and it was fine with the a/c on.

Floppy Link - I got the exhaust tip polished which should turn a nice golden colour once we fire it up.

Here's what you can expect from the exhaust.

The first photo is just after they've fitted it new, and the second, after a few days use.

Enjoy the EC130. It looks amazing.
