Trying to find a picture...

Hi all, wonder if you could help me track down a picture I suspect I may have seen on this very forum; its of a helicopter (obviously!), which I believe was an air ambulance (can't remember the type ), coming in to land between several large buildings and numerous other roadside obstacles. I seem to remember the picture as being a pretty large portrait type image, and have scoured the internet for such, but to no avail!

A bit of a vague request I know, but any ideas anyone?

Many thanks for the link to the HEMS thread - I hadn't seen that before! I suspect the picture may have originally appeared in the photo gallery thread but, given that I'm still using dial up internet connection, searching through a 100+ pages will take about a week!

Strange question back for you. What colour was it? that may help you narrow the field slightly.

Just a guess, but on looking through the pics on the HEMS pics site, these ones seem to fit your description. It's a posting from CptJim - 10th one down on the first link that Heliport has provided.

Cheers

Many thanks flyer43, but I do remember that it wasn't the London HEMS as the MD900 is a pretty memorable aircraft! I'm sure it was a yellow/green aircraft and I think it was a 105 (BO-105) or one of its derivatives. Its really bugging me as I have an image of the picture in my mind, I just can't remember where I bl**dy saw it!

Thanks for all the links; but I'm still none the wiser! I've been through the HEMS thread and it isn't in there, so I'll have to trawl through the "Round the world..." thread as it must be in there!

Not sure where you will find it, but someone a year or two ago posted some links to some zip files with all the piccies from that thread IIRC. I think there were about 4 of zips.

I have them on my hard drive 3 of them from 12Jan 07. I can mail them if you need to, PM me. They're call rotorheads_part1.zip (2&3) on my disk, and are about 50Mbytes each

Is this the one?

Hi tbtstt.

Just sorting through some old magazines and came across this picture on the front of Helicopter Life magazine. Spring 2006 edition. After a quick search found it on the net on the following link:

http://www.helicopterlife.com/200601/index.html

There isn't any better images inside the mag.

Not the one I'm afraid - bloody good picture though! I'll have to try and sketch it or something to see if that jogs anyones memory!
