Launching HERDS - advice please

We have been asked to provide HERDS cover S76 - two RFD 14 man life-rafts both with 100m floating line and 12m operating painter line. Questions spring to mind when you see the very basic leaflet from RFD on how to launch them! (probably best answered by crewmen?):

Do you stick to the recommended 23-26 foot hover?

Do you attach the two 100m ropes to each other or to the other life-raft's 2m line?

Do you allow the 100m rope to come from the descending raft or from the one still in the aircraft?

When launching how do you stop entanglements of the operating line and floating rope?

Do you launch from a vertical or horizontal raft position?

We have a good enough procedure to get us into position with smoke grenades etc - it is the art of 'bunging out' in which we are interested.

Thanks in advance.
