fish #3081 in Rotorheads around the world...

I didn't want to fill up our fine gallery thread with text posts - hence the new thread.

I felt a had to comment on this picture.

It is a fantastic picture but not a photograph.
The light is just not natural - you can not have so much light reflections and detail on the shadow side of the helicopter. Especially not when shooting straight into both the sun and the glare from the ocean.

The picture is in fact made by aviation artist Carlos Adrián Garcia.
http://www.aviationart.com.ar/

"Celebrating their 25th anniversary, Helicópteros Marinos entrusted Mr. Carlos Garcia to illustrate their 2005 Calendar, which shows the various past and present aircraft, helicopters operated by this company of on and off shore air services from Argentina. Please see Gallery, Digital Illustrations."

I don't mean to be grumpy - but in these days in can be hard to judge between real and fake - and I just needed to point out that it was too good to be true...
Just like;

Real or Photoshop, I think it'll make a great desktop wallpaper shot!

About my helicopter art (#3081 in Rotorheads around the world...)

Gentlemen:

I'm very proud that my artwork appear published in your forum.
As illustrator and aviation artist, many clients wont to reduce artworks cost.
About the pictures, Helicópteros Marinos wasn't enable to take this picture, so I take the picture of the helicopter on the helipad against sun light and using Photoshop and personal seascapes files, made this composition. In fact the oil rig at the bottom is an illustration.
The rotor moving was made using several filters of the soft.
Briefly, using less resources, I found it that the company wonts to show. I anybody want to reply me by emai beside the forum, this is [email protected].

Yours sincerely

Carlos A. Garcia
