Whats new in India?

I heard that there is a lot of machines being planned to be inducted in the very near future. Some big players are expanding and some airlines are starting rotary wings for the expanding oil/gas sector offshore. Anyone know details.....

private flying in India

While we're on the topic of India, does anyone know about private flying there? I ask because I may be spending a month or two there soon, and it'd be quite nice to catch a bit of hour building somewhere new.

I assume I'd need to convert my JAR PPL(H)? Does anyone have any recommendations for schools that can do conversions on (and hire out) R22s? Anything else one should know when flying in India?

This is really just a curiosity thing at this stage, so any information or suggestions would be welcome.

You would need to sit for a validation exam of your license.
