Transporting snow by helicopter?

Anyone hear the piece on the Radio 4 (UK) "PM" programme this evening about the Ski World Cup in Italy?

Seems lack of snow has forced them to fly the stuff up the mountain by helicopter

The piece is on the "listen again" section of the R4 website under PM, it's about 40mins in to the programme.....

I saw a picture of it somewhere. A squirrel with an underslung basket. Just had a quick look to see if I'd saved it - seems not but I'll post the link if I find it again. Must be some of the most expensive snow in history!

They do it in Austria too.
I heard that someone hit a cable with a bucket full of snow yesterday.
Nothing serious happened but it reminds of an other accident. Same company that's my information.

Always happy landings
