JAA CPL/ME/IR (A) to Heli Conversion?

Hi,

Does anyone know what dispensation is given by the JAR's (If any) for pilots wishing to convert JAA CPL/ME/IR (A) to Heli Licenses. I know I must do Heli POF but does anyone know the flying requirements?

Thanks in advance.

Angel LASORS is your friend!

As far as I am aware, you don’t “convert” the licences; they are separate and “stand-alone”.

For PPL(A) to PPL(H), there is a maximum “discount” of 6 hours (out of 45) and a minimum of 135 hours (instead of 155) before starting the flying training course of 30 hours. This is the modular route by the way.

If you have an IR(A), there are other “discounts” in hours required.

Cheers
