The only thing I heard about it, was that it was a R22 and crashed around Pukekohe, I didn't hear that anybody was hurt, so hopefully no-one was injured....

TV 3 news had footage , it was that little blue and yellow turbine powered homebuilt , pilot said he had a birdstrike.

Schramm Heli-Cycle?? If so, then pilot is well experienced, and a top bloke to boot Hope driver and helo are both ok/rebuildable

And a R44 from Tauranga crashed on it's way to Blenheim not forgetting the 500 on Ruapehu.
