Two Questions in one!

Done a quick search and cannot find any answers - so hope you can help?

Question 1. You buy a helicopter second hand and do not pay VAT on it as you buy off a private individual who originally paid the VAT on import. I have heard rumours of officials in France and other countries impounding heli's without proof of VAT payment. I don't have this as I didn't get it from the previous owner....Any advice? Other than avoid landing in France?

Question 2. Whats the youngest you can take your son / daughter up? Have you used special child seats? (as per car seats?) if so which ones?

vat is for the end user so buying private is not a problem
try contacting Hm customs & ex France is in EU so it should not be a problem.

Good luck it may be a mine field.
