Sadly, no - they do carry the odd silly story (see the bootnotes or odds 'n sods sections), but they are in fact a serious (mostly) IT site. Most of their non-IT or peripherally-IT stuff seems to come from the BBC (it usually appears on the BBC news site first), but they do come up with the occasional gem.
Anyone looking for unbiased, spell-checked and typo-free journalism should definately look elsewhere.

I've remembered - I was thinking of this!
Although I think they are under the same common ownership as they both use Cash 'n' Carrion for the merchandise and from there, one can link to The Register!
