Autogas in Lycoming Engines

I would be interested in anyones comments about using autogas in a lycoming engine. I have heard that this works fine and indeed please look at the website below as it is endorsed by he FAA. Aparantly these low compression engines work better on a lower octane fuel...their words not mine.

We recently had some discussion about Mogas use in Robinsonīs

http://www.pprune.org/forums/showthr...ighlight=mogas

I canīt see why it shouldnīt be used if there is an STC to back it up! But I donīt know if anyone has tried to get a Mogas STC approved by EASA.
