Making the most of a TIF
G'day Rotorheads,
Recently bought the girl a TIF for her birthday - she's always had an interest. Its to be 30 minutes in an R22. (Newcastle Helicopters @ YWLM)
Any advice for her preparation in order to get the most out of it ?
Thanks in advance....

Good TIFs are Soooooo instructor dependent. I have seen everything from a half hour brief and a full First Lesson plus debrief to a, "Lets see if I can scare this Chick and show how hot I am."
I suggest you ring ahead and speak to the guy who is scheduled to do it. Tell him the interest level of your GF and that you'd like the approach to reflect that. For instance if she wants to get into helicopters and spend her entire wages and some of yours on getting a CPL and having a great job in penury, advise him so. If you want her to experience the stuff you do every day so she can relate to it when you come home bent out of shape, then that is a different TIFF.
Ask for what you want. At a good school, you'll get it.
