Cool October calendars

Two terrific photos this month: click on the thumbnail image, and the full size photo will open to be available as your desktop image:

North Midlands Police EC-135, photo courtesy of the North Midlands Police

Rescue 07, a Danish Agusta-Westland Merlin Mk 512. The photo was taken at RNAS Yeovilton (by bjcc), while it was on a pre-delivery flight. I’m intrigued by the UK roundels and ZJ number, although there is a Danish flag on the tail. Any one know more about this?

I need a straw poll of resolution requirements from all you Rotorheads! Currently I am making the standard calendar 1024 x 768, and the widescreen image is 1280 x 800. Are these high enough for everyone’s screens, or is there a requirement out there for a larger resolution?

Thanks!

Very nice pictures :-)

What I understand is that the government don't pay a nickle for an aircraft, until they themself have approved each one ..
And these 101's have had so many problems prior scheduled delivery, so I would think they are even more careful about the testing part ..

I'm sure they don't wanna make a ver. 2 of the unmaned aircraft (UAV) "tårnfalken" that was scrabed earlier, loosing a wast amount of money on, in the end, nothing !! ..
That one was politically "a hot potato", as we call it ..

I guess it's just like when the FW carrier, SAS, got their new A319 retro painted Airbus delivered. SAS scheme etc., but on German register until delivery ..

NB: There is also a Danish roundels, below the English one ..

Great pictures John,
thank you. The 1024 x 768 works perfectly on my machine.

I take it the one I sent was no use (checking for future reference - not complaining!).

Kind regards,
Brian

John,

The 1024x768 works ok when stretched, but I'd certainly not complain if you did a 1280x1024 version (my work monitors are 19")...

Keep up the good work!

A friend was looking for a desktop calendar that automatically changes at the end of each month.Does this calendar do that?

no, these are just Images to save as a background every month. Yo can download progams from places like download.com that change the picture each month but you would still have to add these ones from rotorheads.
