Filming from the EC 120

What are the options for installing a camera mount in the cabin of an EC 120?

Anyone, with experience on this type, got any information on this subject that they would care to share... please?

Egg sucking ?

Although no direct experience of the 120, if you're in the UK speak to either Tim Debois of Flight Logistics or Dave Mackay of Flying Pictures (I don't work for either company !).

They are most likely to be aware if there are already approvals for the mod and if so will either be able to supply the mount or give you an indication of anyone that should be able to help.

Both organisations are very experienced in the aerial filming world and are highly professional.

Hope this isn't teaching you to suck eggs, but I've always found both organisations extremely helpful.

Hi there,

Dave McKay runs his own company called TenThirteen - he would be a very good person to talk to and can offer some advice. Assuming you want to do this in the UK, I'm not too sure if there are very many people that would allow you to install a mount in their aircraft - all the UK based machines are too nice!!

Anyway - try Dave - He's a good egg!!

All the best

There is a EC120 that flies out of Culter in Aberdeen, hear them occassionally on photo/filming details. HJS Helicopters run that place. Don't have a number, sorry.

Visit http://www.eastside-productions.co.uk/aerial.html for details of the mount we are using in the 120 up here. Results have been excellent.
