R44 Badly Damaged Going Under Bridge

Cycling home yesterday (13th) I passed a Robinson R44 on the back of a low loader which had been unsuccessful in trying to fit under a low bridge on Oxley Moor Road in Wolverhampton.
It was pretty badly banged up with damage to the rotor mast, tail, skids, smashed cokpit windscreen etc.
Apparently, the helicopter was being transported from Wolverhampton City Airport to somewhere in Leeds.
I have seen a double decker bus stuck under there before, but this was the first helicopter.

Sounds bloody dangerous to me, trying to fly under a bridge while sling-loading a low-loader...

Crazy, I know, but I wonder if anyone thought of FLYING it from the airport to its new location.
