Helicopter IR

I hold a FAA Helicopter Commerical and a Helicopter Instrument rating.
I plan to get a PPL(H) or may due the ATPL(H) exams. My question is, how many hours does it take to get an IR? I'd rather not do the whole course as I already have the FAA IR.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Assuming you mean the JAA exams, as you already hold an ICAO IR, the course can be reduced to 15 hours at the discretion of your training organisation. The written stuff will be included in the ATPL exams
