Apparently not. But most of us are guilty of that. Here are a few snow landings of mine.

"Snow landings"

Here are a few from my friends...

Taking nothing away from Discobeast. I enjoyed the R22 too. This gives something to look forward to....

Those last two posts are too cool for words to describe.
You made my evening.
Thanks.

CDNRH,

I'm glad to hear you liked them.

Those are a few of the better ones from my collection.

I think I might have crossed paths with you many moons ago. I was the 100 hour pilot sent to close the Northern Mountain hangar in Terrace and I spent a bit of time harassing the driver from CHL while he was unwrapping his 3 feathered chariot. Was that you?

I attached another pic of a couple of the talented longline/mountain drivers. Craig K. and Ryan H.

later,
ttf

Mister K (the Newf) and Mister H (Brokeback guy) Are two of the best in that area.

That Newfie keeps following me around the industry, I expect to have him as an F/O some day.

They are both great drivers.

Send me a PM.

Nice to see the old orange paint still on the tarmac.

I miss that base like you would not believe.

Thinking back, I remember that now...

That was when flying was still fun.

Actually, thay most fun I've had with my pants on.

Some pilots never experience that much joy in the industry.

BTW,

I prefer the orange and blue paint job, the current CHL management should think the same.

Sucks to be them.

Nice one of the 61 with her baby polar bears. I thought they were bigger than that!

I've landed a couple of times on the Burj Al Arab helipad.

Hmmm sounds as interestin' as I imagined it to be! Somethin' I'll never do me thinks? Can't see the locals hiring an R22 to a foreign PPL & letting him try is luck on holidays eh?

Challenging Landing Pads

Amazing stuff there, most of it way out of this (thousand hour) pilots league. I landed in Wolfe Ck meteorite crater once. That was interesting in that the breeze in there seemed to manage to come from every direction at once.

We got out to swap pilots so the other guy could savour the 'experience' on the way out. On the way around to the pax side the echo of the engine bouncing off the circular walls made it sound like there were more like half a dozen choppers in there instead of just one.
