Well done MCA!

A hearty pat on the back to one of our fellow Rotorheads MCA, for being selected to be the pilot slinging in Big Bens refurbished 'hands' later this year.

He was selected after his work with NASA on the aerial recovery technique they wanted to use for the space probe. He was piloting the lead aircraft proposed to hook the chute after it re-entered earths atmosphere. As we all saw on Discovery that went tits up when the chute refused to open
Its a great honour and I for one am pleased a fellow Irishman is doing what we suspect will be an amazing piece of flying. IMAX and Discovery are both involved so its going to be an amazing documentary.

Does anyone else know what aircraft he will use? length of line? mirrors or door off?????

Again; good !!!! MCA!
