World's most expensive rotorcraft...?
The top three unit program costs for rotary- and fixed-wing apps, as detailed in the DoD's latest Selected Acquisition Reports to Congress, were as follows:
1. F-22 Raptor: $338M
2. C-17 Globemaster III: $331M
3. VH-71 (EH101): $287M
Now I appreciate that the POTUS requires specialist DAS, TEMPEST compliant secure comms and various others bells & whistles, but $287M ? Are they using that $7,600 coffee maker from the C-5 again...?
Makes the Osprey (#8 in the list at $110M apeice, just behind the F-35) look like a bargain.

Imagine they need to make sure that all the extras they think would be useful are airworthy and won't cause interferance with the main systems - extras like the Speak'n'Spell Bush uses for vocabulary training . . .

In fact, it is highly insulting to Speak'n'Spell users everywhere. Please peddle your insults somewhere else and not on this helicopter forum. Thank you.

Good one rotordog
Maybe its also gonna have for the first time on helicoptes a figurehead,
like the bulldog on the mack truck,
or as on the galleons of auld.
Only this time it might be in gold, the busk of Hilary recently unveiled in the New York museum of sex.
No link found. quite attractive

Besides - all this stuff about "Woe is me - we have Bush in charge!!!"
What do you do if you have Bush's lapdog in charge?
